To ensure the longevity and safety of your pottery pieces, please follow these care instructions:
Handwashing: Hand wash your pottery with mild dish soap and warm water before its first use. Avoid using abrasive scrubbers or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the glaze and finish.
Avoid Extreme Temperatures: While our pottery is dishwasher safe, we recommend handwashing to prolong its life. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as transferring from the refrigerator to a hot oven, as it may cause thermal shock and lead to cracking.
Microwave and Oven Use: Our pottery is microwave and oven safe. However, always use caution when placing pottery directly from the refrigerator or freezer into a hot oven to prevent thermal shock. Gradually increase the temperature to avoid rapid changes.
Staining and Etching: Some foods, particularly those high in acidity or containing strong pigments (like coffee, turmeric or curry), may stain or etch the glaze over time. While this does not affect the safety of the pottery, we recommend promptly rinsing and handwashing after use to minimize staining.
Avoid Metal Utensils: To prevent scratching the glaze, avoid using metal utensils on your pottery. Opt for wooden, silicone, or plastic utensils instead.
Storage:
Store your pottery in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight. Avoid stacking pottery pieces on top of each other, as this may lead to scratches or chips.
By following these care instructions, you can enjoy your handmade pottery for years to come.
With love,
Corally
